Bang-up-to-date! The Daiwa Infinity-Q XP 50th anniversary box set.
Daiwa founder Yoshio Matsui moulded a trust in his products that anglers still identify with today.
He believed passionately in the combination of design, innovation and high quality. His philosophy saw anglers come to trust the mark and it is these values that underpin the Daiwa identity today.
Over time the name grew, with the designing and making of rods and reels for all styles of angling taking the company to markets around the world.
By the mid 70’s Daiwa had become the world’s largest manufacturer of fishing tackle with established companies in America, Taiwan, Australia, France and Germany plus many successful distribution partners across the globe.
1977. Daiwa Sports Ltd begins manufacturing and supplying tackle designed for British anglers from its newly built rod making plant in the UK.
1977 was a significant turning point with the building of the UK rod making plant Daiwa Sports Ltd and from here the brand began the creation and supply of tackle specifically designed for UK and European anglers.
Over thirty years on Daiwa Sports is still going strong and thanks to continuous investment, today it is the most advanced rod production facility outside the far-east. And it can still boast that ever rarer claim of ‘Made in the UK’.
Today millions of anglers worldwide have enjoyed the ownership and long satisfaction of Daiwa products and in that will have experienced the key principles of design, innovation and quality that Yoshio Matsui founded his company upon.
Of course whilst a successful history is certainly something to be proud of it is surely the future which should excite us.
With the superior technology and design capabilities today our worldwide team create beautiful reels with levels of power and performance that belong in dreamland. The Tournament AIRITY, Basia and Tanacoms are excellent examples of this.
Our understanding of carbon combined with decades of angling knowledge continue to pave the way for new rod development that is sure to amaze. That is why our UK team are rightly proud of the new Spectron M2’s, Signature salmon rods and Saltist Advanced collection.
And our innovative approach to design is now to be found across a burgeoningcollection of accessories and terminal tackle. Both Wilderness and Mission ranges deliver all that you would expect plus superior value.
So as we look forward we can certainly be satisfied that we have carried on the good work of Mr Matsui. Who knows what he would say if he saw his company now; fifty years on?
He left us to speak for him and we believe that you have a right to expect the best.
Thank you for choosing Daiwa and here’s to the next fifty years!
The combination of cutting edge technology and direct input from knowledgable consultants has resulted in the production of awesome tackle throughout the years.
