I have a few angling achievements I'm very proud of, firstly its got to be winning team and individual gold at the world youth championships in Belgium 1999, being world champ at your chosen sport is very special.
More recently its winning the 25,000.00 Park Dean masters in 2004 at Whiteacres (deposit for my house).
With the team Daiwa Dorking it's six times in a row super league champions and winning the winter league final too.
Again that's got to be Ghent in Belgium for the world champ with 15kilos of skimmers on the pole, but besides that I had a great trip recently to Barbados when I had 20 small tuna and a 35lb wahoo my biggest fish
My ambition is to represent England at senior level having tasted success as a youth. I also hope to one day to work in fishing somehow, making a living from your first love would be great.
Rods: My Tournament Pro Pole is always the first item out of the bag simply awesome, but in the winter when rivers are up or waiting for carp to bite it's the 12/13 Tournament Feeder Rod.
Reels: I tend to couple my feeder rod with the 3012 TDR reel.
My best piece of advice would be, don't be afraid to ask questions, gather as much information as possible and practise makes perfect.
Pole fishing with bloodworm for roach and bream on running water is my favourite, throwing in loads of leam and groundbait and running a float over it all day takes some beating. But I'm just as happy anytime I'm catching fish.
I'm rarely away from fishing or have time for much else but I love football, I used to play semi pro with Melksham Town (fishing took over), I support Tottenham Hotspur and I'm great friends with Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard, when we're not fishing we go to the odd game because he is currently injured.
I once spent a fortune on a WRX Subaru Impeza only to find my fishing kit would not fit in it and had to sell it straight away at a loss. On the fishing front I dropped a section winning eel showing it to the cameras costing Daiwa Dorking the super league.
