Real surf beaches, fishing for real fish. Unfortunately there weren't as many sharks as I had hoped for, but my 175lb shark lay on the beach looking like a miniature submarine.
I just couldn't believe I had caught something that big, and I didn't even have a wire trace on at that time.
We drove miles along wonderful beaches in open 4X4 trucks to find the best spots.
So much freedom and excitement!

My other love is Motorbikes. I had a 250 Matchless when I was 16. Then a Triumph Bonneville when I was 17. A 350 Yamaha followed and I raced that for 2 years. Then I had a break but got back into racing with 250 and 350 Yamahas for another 3 years. Then it was another break and it was a Ducati 900, then a Kawasaki 600 and now my 1988 Honda VFR750R RC30. This was a stunning, hand made V4 bike built by Honda for the first Superbike Championship. It cost £9000 in 1988 and is still a wonderful piece of kit. I still do track days on it to keep my hand in!
