10 MARCH 2008Scunthorpe Police Angling Club
Every year Scunthorpe Police Angling Club organise various events to encourage youngsters to take up angling.
For the last three years Daiwa have sponsored this event and this year was no exception.

The second match held on the first Sunday in August was a great success. The hot weather made the fishing tricky, but the young anglers stuck at it and some nice fish were caught.
The Match held on the picturesque Warping Drain was well supported and with plenty of keen youngsters and hard working helpers. All the anglers received “goody bags” and I’m sure went away happy. Scunthorpe Police are keen to get the juniors involved and Daiwa and only too glad to support their work.

Despite the heat several good tench came to the net, including this nice fish that made its young captor very happy.

The Warping drain near Scunthorpe. The venue for the Scunthorpe Police Angling Club junior match. Lots of concentration in the hot sun, and lots of brollies for shade.
