On a recent trip to France Daiwa Consultant Damian Clarke targeted the largest common carp in France and one of the biggest carp in the world!
Fishing a venue in the Champagne region of France the Korda Developments Director hooked the fish on the sixth day of a seven day trip. Fishing with Infinity rods and ISO reels, the huge common took a little over two hours to subdue and certainly put the tackle to the test especially the size 8 hook!
Damian commented “this was one of the most intense moments of my fishing career and was truly a privilege to catch!”
The fish weighed in at exactly 88lbs and was later followed by a mirror carp weighing 56lbs 8ozs taking the tally of fish to five for the trip.
