Brian Skoyles explains why the Infinity banksticks have become his first choice, having had to deal with every type of bank side, from soft mud to sun baked earth, from gravel to staging.
Infinity Banksticks

If you look closely at the pictures used in this product spotlight, you will see that they show banksticks that are very well used. In fact they have been treated very roughly for well over year, in a wide range of fishing situations, so I feel perfectly placed to write this review.

In some ways it seems a bit odd writing a product review of such a lowly product as a bankstick, but sometimes it can be the small inexpensive items of tackle that let us down, and make fishing effectively that much harder.

So what makes the Infinity Bankstick such a good buy?

1) Build Quality… I’ve long been a fan of the slightly larger diameter banksticks, like the Infinity. It always seems that bit more stable than the thinner versions. The screw spike is well secured into the bottom of the outer bankstick body, and the top mechanism which is a push fit onto the top of outer bankstick, is solid and well made.

2) The Camlock System… I’d never used a camlock system before this, having always had the standard screw lock system, but having used the camlock for sometime I am now a fan. Easy to use, and reliable in operation. The camlock secures the inner bankstick in place, and keeps it there.

3) Screw Spike… Again I wasn’t really a fan of screw spikes, but this design has won me over. It’s a course thread, so it bites into the ground very easily, and combined with the power lock lever, you can cope with all but the most compacted, stoney ground

4) Power Lock Lever… A perfect combination to the screw spike. Just remove the inner bankstick, slide in the power lock lever, and you have the perfect grip to twist the bankstick into the ground.

Available in two lengths 40/62cms and 58/97cms the Infinity Banksticks give you plenty of scope for adjustment. My normal combination is short, plus buzzer, for the front, and long for the back.

All in all the Infinity Bankstick is a well made, well designed product that deserves a mention because it does exactly what it should do. If you want to be “picky” with time and hard use the carbon effect coating starts to wear down, as in the photographs, but in some ways it adds a bit of character, and certainly doesn’t affect the performance.

If you are looking for a hard wearing, reliable, easy to use, bankstick, that you can give some stick… look no further.
