Universal Bite n Run Convertor
The Universal Bite 'n' Run convertor acts as a 'free spool' mechanism and drag knob. When applied to the reel, replacing the drag knob, you simply tension it to the level of drag that you want to have when playing fish.
To achieve a 'free spool' level of tension just pull the metal lever on the knob forward until it locks outward. This will raise the UBRC1 away from the surface of the drag washers. The reduce contact now allows the spool to rotate more freely with taking fish.
The spool speed can be controlled by hand when connecting with a fish and the original drag setting restored by closing the lever back into the flat position. The reel will then perform as normal.
