With big Skate, Sharks and even Tuna now a growing target species around our shores, our designers have created two ‘stand up’ rod designs to serve 30, 50 and 80lb line classes.
For sheer power and strength they are single sections; no joints. They also utilize a combination of the very best Daiwa rod tech. X45 is applied for superior torque control but it is blended with Glatech Construction to allow progressive flex from fiberglass but with high levels of carbon strength. With considerable compression occurring during the fight it is the 3DX Cross on the back half that will increase tubular power and provide an added level of lifting power required.
The 6’ model will accommodate the 30-50lb range, with the shorter 5’9” delivering in the 50-80lb range. Both designs also feature heavy duty stainless steel framed guides with Zirconium ceramic and a roller tip guide. Their handle assembly is a combination of an EVA Powerlift foregrip and a ‘slide easy’ harder rear grip for rapid and smooth removal from the rod holder. Both also use a heavy duty Seaguide HBS Alu reel seat and metal Gimbal with cover.
